Fishbone Diagram Training

The Fishbone Diagram is a basic quality tool used as a team brainstorming tool to examine cause and effect. Used in conjunction with another quality tool called the affinity diagram possible influences or contributing factors are discovered. Blue Tuna introduces the Human Factors SHELL Model as an infinity group to determine contributing factors. View time approximately 15 minutes, 10 question quiz, no handout AMT Awards.

The Five Whys

The Five Whys developed by Blue Tuna is a tool used to peel away the layers of symptoms which can lead to the root cause of a problem. By repeatedly asking the question "Why" (five is a good rule of thumb), the tool is a simple way to move towards solutions to the problems in maintenance and manufacturing. 10 minutes to learn the 5 Whys, with a 5 question quiz, no student guide available.
